You can finally send gift credit with Google Play to other people via email

If you live in the United States, as of today  you can send gift credit with Google Play to a friend or family member as a gift with an email. The option to do this is accomplished in the right-side bar and is labeled simply as “send gift”. From there you will have the choice of purchasing $10, $15, $20, $25, $50, or $100, then sending it as a gift. However, there is no limit to the amount you can send. So you can buy $300 value of credit, in three $100 increments, but send the whole amount as a single gift.

After selecting the amount you want to send, all you have to do is enter the email address of the person you are sending the credit to, and a message (if there is one). The only way to buy credit for a gift is through a debit/credit card or Google Wallet. Existing Google Play credit balance can’t be used.

One thing people have deisred for some time, now you can send gift credit with Google Play to other people. Well today we sort of have that ability now as Google you can send gift credit with Google Play through email. Before everyone gets crazy and starts sending gift credit in Google Play all over the place, this is only for US residents right now.
